That’s it! Have you downloaded a template for your flyer? Now is the time to customize it. Photoshop is the software that can help you accomplish this task. Easy to use, Photoshop is very effective for editing your PSD files. To avoid mistakes in the editing of your flyer, discover the steps to follow.

Step 1: Open your template

Launch Photoshop. Click on “New”. The opened window allows you to choose the template you want to use. The template will open in the new window and be ready to be customized.

Step 2: Change the background of your flyer

With Photoshop, you can define the background of your flyer. The software offers you several possibilities to do so. Either you choose a solid color or you use an image that will serve as a background.

If you want to use an image, just import it. In this case, click on “File” then on “Import”. Then indicate the location of the image you want to use as a background.

If you want to change the background of your template to a solid color, just click on the “Paint Bucket” tool and choose the color you want to use.

Step 3: Modify the different elements of the template using layers

In Photoshop, “Layers” allow you to access and modify the different elements of a template. With layers, you can choose the element to modify without touching the others. You can thus add texts, change colors, add shapes or insert images to the various elements of your template. In short, your imagination is the limit.

Step 4: Save and print your flyer

To save your work, click on “File” then “Save”. Then enter a unique name for your flyer. It is advisable to save your work as often as possible to avoid losing the modifications you did if Photoshop is closed.

To print your flyer, save your file in PDF format.
